Spirit." We will join together in community for some
creative craft fun, laughter and play while
connecting with other women in our community. Fee
$15 per person (covers craft supplies and catered
lunch) and child care will be available by request.
Registration forms are available on the Information
Table in the Narthex. For questions contact Sharry
Nyberg 734-3720.
SUNDAY AFTERNOON SING-ALONG
On Sunday, November 9th at 1:30 p.m. in the Narthex,
there will be a 2 hour music circle for those who
want to sing gospel, bluegrass, old time, folk or
other roots music, play acoustic instruments, or
simply sit and listen in a participating group
environment. Bring your voice, your instruments,
your music and your eagerness to sing, play and have
fun with others joining in with you. For more
information, please see the information flyers in
the Narthex or contact Max and Loren Legg at
595-6016, or Bruce and Sharon Camblin at 715-0933.
All are welcome. It will be a very pleasant time to
enjoy music in the company of others. |
"GET CONNECTED!"
After worship on November 16, you are invited to
think about how you would like to "connect" in new
or different ways within this congregation. In the
Social Hall there will be tables with displays and
representatives from various groups, inviting you to
learn more about what they do; how they serve; and
how you might join in! It's not just the "usual
suspects" of Boards and committees. Also represented
will be small groups of all kinds. Please come,
spend a little time looking over what's
possible….think about your own energy levels ….and
consider where in the "grid" you might "plug in."
(For further and increasingly worse puns, please see
Pastor Jane.)
VESPERS SERVICE AT 7:00 P.M. ON 2ND & 4TH THURSDAYS
with music from Taize. Taize is a French ecumenical
community which has developed a musical service that
is simple and prayerful. The service combines simple
tunes with phrases from Latin and other languages.
With no bulletins, hymnals, or announcements, and a
minimum of spoken words, Vespers is designed to be a
time of prayerful centering, reflection and
empowerment. |
