First Congregational Church is sponsoring three all-day, intensive workshops on March 9, April 12, and a date in May yet to be determined. The workships are designed to create a space for often charged conversations about eliminating racism.

The holiday remembering Martin Luther King Jr. is often celebrated as a day of service. Whatcom County education, city, and nonprofit institutions have collaborated to sponsor an event Monday, January 15.
The Bellingham School District has a holiday for Treaty Day, Monday, January 22. There will be activities 10:00 am-12:30 pm, followed by an afternoon visit to the Whatcom Museum.
