We are hosting a Dia de Los Muertos Family Event on Saturday, November 1, 4:00-6:00 pm. We will show the movie Coco in the sanctuary, and we’ll have some fun activities and snacks in the social hall. The activity centers include cookie decorating, wooden skull painting, crepe paper flower making, and face painting. For snacks, we’ll have tortilla chips the nacho sauce, salsa, or sour cream with lemon water to drink. We would like for folks to RSVP by Saturday, October 25 if they plan to attend the family event, by emailing Mona Slagle.
We are also offering the opportunity to purchase a candle with a picture of their loved one to be placed on the ofrenda. Pictures of folks loved ones need to be turned in at the church or by emailed to Mona by no later than Saturday, October 25. The cost is $5.00 per candle and is to be paid by no later than Sunday, October 26.
