The UCC Pension Boards recently shared a webinar about fraud protection. This is a basic but very helpful video that can help any of us be safer in this digital world. If you’ve ever:
received an email saying, “Hey, check out these photos” with a link to click (supposedly from someone you know),
been asked to purchase gift cards for someone who’s in a hard situation themself or helping someone else in a hard situation (again, supposedly from someone you know),
opened a text telling you you have an outstanding fine or bill,
a bad actor has attempted to scam you. These are just a few of the ways they try to get our information, and this video is aimed to help us pay attention. Let’s continue to be wise as serpents and gentle as doves in our living in this current time. Click here for the video link.
