Holy Week Worship & Welcome

This Sunday is Easter! It’s one of the biggest and most joyful services of the year—and a time when we’ll see lots of new faces, both in person and online in the Bigger Balcony.

What a gift it is to be a place where people come looking for connection, meaning, and a sense of belonging.

This is an opportunity for us to extend a gracious and extravagant welcome. It’s really just about being kind and paying attention:

Be warm and respectful.

Remember it can take courage to walk into a church—honor that.

A simple smile or hello can go a long way.

And it’s pretty special that, out of all the places they could go, they chose to be here with us at FCCB.

So, if you’re a regular, consider this: in the first few minutes after the service, try saying hello to someone you don’t know yet before catching up with friends.

A lot of first-time visitors will head out pretty quickly unless someone reaches out, welcomes them, and maybe even invites them to stay for fellowship (and shows them where to go).

So, as we celebrate Easter together, let’s also be intentional about how we show up for one another.

A little extra kindness and welcome can make all the difference—and help everyone who walks through our doors feel right at home, just as they are.

No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey you are welcome to First Congregational Church United Church of Christ.
