The Baha'i Faith is a recognized independent world religion attracting increasing attention and a growing number of followers in the US and around the world as people from all walks of life search ofr practical spiritual solutions for their lives and the future. Next to Christianity, it is the most wide-spread religion in the world today. But, little is known or understood outside its own community.
We will look at the teachings and principles given by Baha'u'llah (1817-1892), the Prophet-Founder of the Baha'i Faith, whom Baha'is around the world regard as the Messenger of God for this day. The cornerstone of Baha'u'llah's teachings is the establishment of the unity of humankind. This class will introduce us to a thoroughly inclusive religion, which accepts the divinity and sanctity of all Faiths, and will describe the birth and history of Baha'i Faith.
We will also look at how the faith is administered, its effect on its adherents in the US and around the world today and the unfolding divine plan for the future.
