As summer begins to wind down and the school year approaches, I wanted to share some upcoming opportunities for our younger congregation members. 

September 21 at Structures Brewing from 3-6pm, the Whatcom Peace & Justice Center will host its 22nd annual International Day of Peace event to celebrate local peacemakers, multicultural artists and grassroots groups. The event includes a performance by Seattle based Afro-Latin band Samba da Renata, a reading from local Native poet and activist, Harmony Devaney, speeches from our Whatcom lifetime and youth peacemakers, and other surprises.

This class will tell the sories of the specific women who were connected and close to the prophets of four Abrahamic religions. Join us October 8 & 15, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Join us Saturday, October 4 at 5:30 pm for a dinner and concert benefitting the Bellingham Food Bank. Come for dinner and the concert or just the concert.

In June, the Ground Floor served a total of 120 unique youth and young adults who are literally homeless, housing insecure, and/or low income with basic needs provided, resource navigation, case management, and referrals to community partners.

The Commons, an Art/Faith group connected with First Presbyterian Church, Bellingham is hosting a Songwriting Workshop on July 26 from 9:00 AM-4:00 pm.  Lunch is included.
