We are making birthday bags! The bags will go to Wild Bird Charity. This organization will distribute the bags to teachers at Whatcom County Schools, who can pass them on to the families of children having birthdays. We will be accepting these bags throughout June and July. Look for a box in the narthex. A bag can consist of:
Cake mix and can of frosting
Candles
Sprinkles
10 or 12 oz can of Sprite or 7-up to use instead of eggs and oil
13 x 9 disposable aluminum cake pan
Optional:
Small decoration, such as “Happy birthday” sign or balloons
Unsigned card
You pack the items in a birthday themed gift bag
You can also donate individual items instead of a bag and volunteers will build the bags. You can also make a monetary gift, which will be used to purchase items to be assembled by volunteers. Include the memo note "birthday bags" to your financial gifts.
