Building Bridges Thank You

Dear FCCB,

Thank you for supporting the workshops "From Judgement to Curiosity:Building Bridges in Conflict" by hosting them in our church. We've had 33 people enroll in the workshops since summer, an average of 12 each quarter. A few from the summer cohort repeated the series in fall, saying it deepened their understanding. The most recent cohort, this winter, had a high attrition rate due to physical and family stressors. There is a lot people are navigating in our current times!

I appreciate our individual and collective willingness to be the church through public outreach and support like Building Bridges. The feedback Mason and I have received has been very positive, with all participants who completed the survey reporting:

The workshops strengthened their ability to form connections with others.

The workshops improved their hopefulness to affect peace

The workshops exceeded their expectations

Participant comments include "this has helped my family feel closer." "Engaging!, never a dull moment!" "I am staying present in conflict and feel more curious and confident."  "These concepts help me in my everyday life, thank you!" and "These workshops have helped heal my relationship with churches."

I feel such gratitude for the courage and curiosity of the folks that gather each week at First Congregational, and I feel deep appreciation for First Congregation's leadership in supporting all the various ways we are the church.

With love,

D. Monique Stefens
