Faith Formation

The November Family Fun Event will be held on Sunday, November 21, from 3:00-4:00 pm at First Congregational Church. Thanksgiving week and Family Promise week coincide.

You don’t need to know anything about the Bible to participate! Let's journey through the texts we use in worship. We'll encounter scripture in a different way each week with a mixture of academic study, reading scripture as prayer, devotional reading. We'll share four texts for the following, one of which will be the focus of the worship service. 

As autumn begins, we are starting up our Wednesday faith formation gatherings again. Faith Formation for Families and Adult Forums will begin Wednesday, September 15.

The Faith Formation Board invites families of all sizes, shapes and configurations to join us for a fun Zoom meeting Sunday, September 12 at 2:00 pm.

For June 2 and June 9, the Faith Formation Board is reading another essay out of Walter Bruggermann’s book Tenacious Solidarity: Biblical Provocations on Race, Religion, Climate, and the Economy.

In December, the Faith Formation Board invites you to join us in reading Amy-Jill Levine's Light of the World, written as a four-week study.
