Creation Care Camp 2026

Where the mountains meet the ocean is a special space. It is our place on this earth that we get to call home. From the glaciers of Mount Baker down the Nooksack River and to our Salish Sea the creation we are surrounded by is awe inspiring. It is ours to love but to also care for.

Hello everyone, I am Liz Hjelmseth, the director of Creation Care Camp this summer. As you may guess from my opening paragraph, this summer we will be exploring the mountains to the sea. I am excited to share my experience in landscape ecology and marine biology with our campers. On top of that it is a joy to follow where the Bible leads us. Starting at the peaks of our mountains, sending us down our rivers, and then depositing us at the edge of our sea while not actually leaving the church.

From 1:00-4:00 pm on July 30 and 1:00-5:00 pm on July 31, we will build a community around young explorers and adult leaders. If you know someone who is a potty trained 3-year-old up to a rising 6th grader please invite them to join us on this special adventure.

Even though it is just two days, we will do everything that makes camp fun.
