First Congregational Churchis starting a tradition of sharing the ingredients for a November feast with the Ground Floor and Family Promise families. This is an opportunity for our congregation to reach out and ensure that those who lack food security can enjoy the same table we do for the holidays.
Here is when we'll need items and the group the donations will benefit that date.
November 13 & 14 – Ground Floor (30 youth and staff)
November 20 & 21 – Family Promise (Nine families)
The Mission and Justice Board will be buying hams and turkeys. If you would like to contribute toward the turkeys/hams or other items, please send donations to First Congregational Church, ATTN Accountant for Friendship Tables.
Here is a list of food items you can purchase and donate:
White Potatoes (cheese, chives, garlic)
Sweet potatoes and marshmallows
Green bean casserole ingredients
Fruits to make fruit salad
Seasoned dressing package
Cornbread dressing packages
Brown gravy packages
Rolls – Wheat and Hawaiian
Pie – pie fillings (pumpkin, apple, pecan, cherry)
