Join us for a Simple Supper with our growing community of friends, engaging in conversation, and sharing time together. We will serve West African Peanut Stew and Lentil Barley Soup with Cornbread Muffins. Supper will be served between 5:30 and 6:15 pm. Come early to visit and share stories. Our meals are gluten free and primarily plant based—we post the recipes beside the soups. Help with cooking and help with cleaning up are always needed. The Kitchen Crew starts their work at 4 and clean-up starts immediately after the meal; clean-up is usually finished by 7:00 pm.
Yes, we do NEED your hands-on help in slicing and dicing, cooking, setting-up, cleaning-up, and hosting. We start the meal preparation and set-up beginning at 4:00 pm. Along with the “sous cheffing” we will need help with cooking the soups, setting up the fellowship hall, opening the doors and welcoming friends, and the all-important clean-up.
