First Congregational Church had a Green Team from 2010 to 2013, headed by Rob Olason, but this group has not been meeting recently.  After our successful Climate Revival last November and as our congregation considers becoming a Creation Justice church, we are inviting members and friends of the church to join us in a revival of the green team.

We are excited to host the annual meeting for the Pacific Northwest Conference of the UCC at our church on April 28-30! Your help is needed hosting this event.

The Membership Board, collaborating with the Faith Formation Board is pleased to invite members and friends of 1st Congregational Church to engage six vital themes of our faith during Lent.  This Zoom discussion will be held on Wednesdays from 5:30 – 6:30 pm.

The Called to Care Ministry recognizes that conversation about the dignity of a meaningful death and dying process is important for our faith community. We also acknowledge this weekend is not the right timing because many of our emotions are raw at the suddenness of Bobbi Virta’s death. 

Many of us were shocked, this week, by news of the Rev. Bobbi Virta’s death. Like many of you, Bobbi has been a colleague, a friend, and an inspiration to us for all our years of ministry here in Bellingham, and we know her loss will echo deeply in the coming months and years
