Dear FCCB,
Thank you for supporting the workshops "From Judgement to Curiosity:Building Bridges in Conflict" by hosting them in our church. We've had 33 people enroll in the workshops since summer, an average of 12 each quarter.
In an effort to expand more affordable housing in our community, build connections, and increase financial independence, the City of Bellingham is launching a home sharing program.
Living in these times, how often have we thought, “How can I make a positive impact?” or “What is the Holy Spirit calling us to do?” What does God require of us? To act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God. (Micah 6:8) So we seek to follow that guidance at every opportunity.
Service Sunday, March 22 at 10 am-12:30 pm. Once again, we are worshipping in a hands-on - feet to the ground way. During our time of worship we will have the opportunity to serve in one of several different ways.
I’m thrilled that we’re moving forward with a Confirmation+ offering this spring! It’ll be for 8-10th graders wanting to deepen their connection to one another and the Divine (Holy/God/Spirit) through conversation about topics that are meaningful here and now. If they choose to be confirmed at the end, great! If they simply want to be part of the group and not be confirmed as members of the congregation, great!
Starting today we enter the Season of Lent: Ash Wednesday through Holy Saturday. This is traditionally an introspective time, when individuals consider “giving up” or “taking on” a practice for mindfulness.
March 14 (“Pi Day”) - Doors open at 4:45. Get ready for an evening of savory and sweet treats, big talent, and even bigger fun! Join us for the annual Pie Contest & Variety Show, where incredible cooks and bakers, and amazing performers take the stage.
