    Like so much scripture, this passage is often taken out of context. In the Gospel, Jesus is describing community disagreement and how to address it. If you’ve tried other options, come together, Jesus encourages, and have open, honest conversation.

  • Children, youth and families of all shapes and sizes are invited to a Family Halloween Fun Day on Saturday, October 30 from 1:00-3:00 pm. The event will take place outdoors.

  • You don’t need to know anything about the Bible to participate! Let's journey through the texts we use in worship. We'll encounter scripture in a different way each week with a mixture of academic study, reading scripture as prayer, devotional reading. We'll share four texts for the following, one of which will be the focus of the worship service. 

  • We will be working with Interfaith this year to provide gifts for families at Christmas AND we are developing a new partnership with the Roosevelt Community Church to bring families experiencing severe poverty the opportunity to purchase new toys for their children.

  • First Congregational Church has been invited, along with other churches, to provide meals for the approximately 35-40 people who will be living in the Tiny Homes just off Lakeway. The project is opening on October 18.
