Sunday, July 13 - Pride in Bellingham: As an Open and Affirming Congregation we celebrate our diverse community and support our LGBTQ+ folks. We will be walking in the Pride Parade.

We are having First Congregational Church Pride T shirts printed locally at Iron Street Printing.

We are registered to walk in the parade and represent First Congregational Church as a place of love and affirmation. We’re in this together!

Our country and communities are more divided and polarized than ever.  Conflict is a part of life; how do we approach differences in a way that leads to mutual respect and understanding? First Congregational Church of Bellingham recently sponsored a presentation by Reverend Adam Taylor, President of Sojourners, where he encouraged us to find ways to bridge and build in our communities.

What is Whatcom Faith Community Immigrant Support (WFCIS)? This group has representatives from 24 different faith communities and traditions. Together, in the past 11 weeks, WFCIS members have provided two-hundred and twenty-four weeks of groceries serving approximately 32 families.

A new book group is reading the book Becoming a Good Relative: Calling White Settlers Toward Truth, Healing, and Repair by Hilary Giovane. This group will next meet June 12 at 2:30 pm

The Strengthen the Church (STC) Offering reflects the shared commitment of people across the United Church of Christ to cooperatively build up the UCC. Conferences and the national setting equally share the gifts given by members and friends through their local congregations. The funds raised support leadership development, new churches, youth ministry, and innovation in existing congregations. By your generosity to this offering, you build up the Body of Christ.
