I am glad to share that our work with the Love & Justice Project is moving forward. I'm going to share responses to a few questions that have come up several times, but please do reach out to

Rehearsals are well underway to prepare Keith Hampton's joyous gospel anthem "Celebrate!" for Celebration Sunday, October 29. The Chancel Choir will sing, and we welcome guest soloist Ibidunni Ojikutu who will sing the solo verses. Lead Pastor Sharon Benton has written a third verse for Ibidunni to sing, with the Chancel Choir joining in the refrain as congregants bring forward their pledge cards.

It's an exciting season at First Congregational Church of Bellingham. The wind is blowing outside, and all over town, the Spirit is blowing up new rounds of growth, new opportunities for troublemaking, new possibilities and friendships.

What Is Called to Care? Called to Care is the ongoing ministry of wellness for our whole congregation. This is the current Called to Care team at First Congregational Church: Maridel Johnson, Kathleen McGuinness, Karen Mills, Brenda Nicholson, Carol Nicolay, and Deanna Murray. We are a group of representatives from our church’s care teams: Parish Visitors, Faith Community Nurses, Stephen Ministers, Diaconate and Pastoral staff.
