In an unprecedented moment of moral reckoning, Church World Service (CWS) today issued The Ash Wednesday Ecumenical Declaration: Defending Refuge, a bold and urgent call to action from faith communities across the nation.
Dr. Smadar Ben-Natan, Sunday, March 9 at 1:00 pm, Congregation Beth Israel (751 San Juan Blvd, Bellingham) Dr. Smadar Ben-Natan is a professor in the Department of Global Studies, University of Oregon, specializing in human rights, international law, armed conflict, criminal justice, incarceration, colonialism, and Israel/Palestine.
Thirty people met last Sunday in round table discussions to consider what we are already are doing in regards to sharing our funds and building, providing hands-on support in the community and standing up for justice and what are dreams are going forward.
