  • For June 2 and June 9, the Faith Formation Board is reading another essay out of Walter Bruggermann’s book Tenacious Solidarity: Biblical Provocations on Race, Religion, Climate, and the Economy.

  • First Congregational Church has recently reactivated its membership with the Multifaith Network on Climate Justice. As a member of this local group, you are cordially invited to attend the Interfaith Blessing Ceremony of the Lummi Totem Pole Journey, Red Road to DC on May 24, 2:00-6:30 p.m. 


  • Pentecost is my favorite festival of the Christian calendar. I can relate to being part of a post-resurrection, uncertain, afraid, and mourning people gathering together to try and figure out what’s next. I’ve been part of those groups before. And, I’ve had the honor of being present when there is a palpable shift in the room, and a new idea is born, or the calling of the Spirit catches fire or hope takes root like a thunderbolt.
